It’s spring cleaning time! I have been missing all of my nesting urges to get things organized. I recently got new makeup (you can watch this video here to see exactly how much I love my new makeup) and this meant significantly reducing everything in my bathroom drawers. We got a $10 gift card to the dollar store for Christmas and thought I’d go poke around the store to see if they had some baskets I could use in my drawers to keep organized a little better. Let me tell you what I learned; $10 at the dollar store is a shopping spree!
Everything you see in these drawer organization photos was $3! $3! You can’t afford to not get organized at that price. I priced it out at some other stores and one basket was more than a couple of dollars. I got a 3 pack of baskets for $1! Perhaps I’m using too many exclamation marks because I’m just a little too excited about the fact that I found such a good deal. These are a few of my favorite things.
The problem I was trying to solve is that I bought some drawer organizers but the compartments were just too small. The dollar store had different sized baskets which is exactly what I needed.
I am not into bright colors (I’m not sure why I keep reminding you of this. At this point I think it’s obvious.) But it’s nothing a little spray paint couldn’t fix. I first spray painted each basket black and let them dry.
I’m a little embarrassed to show how unorganized these drawers looked before, but it’s all part of my point so I think it’s important.
Then I separated my makeup by foundation, lips, eyelashes and brushes. You can also see I used a basket for tooth brushes and toothpaste, and one for my medications. I love how each thing has a place.
If you were needing a little motivation to get out there and get something organized at your house I hope you are feeling a little inspired! You can get your spaces beautifully organized for a couple of bucks and 10 minutes. You can even shop Dollar Tree online! You really have no excuses now. Sorry not sorry.
