Ok, call me the crazy cat lady. I get it! But this is genuinely something we needed around the house! I saw these $5 tray tables at Walmart and knew it would be perfect. We are always pulling chairs up to the window for our cats to look outside and sometimes us humans also need the chairs. (The cats are truly upset by this.) So I figured out a permanent solution!
I received some free product from Rustoleum to complete this project. This post also contains affiliate links.
What you need for your cat’s window seat
- Tray Table
- Fabric
- Polyfill (I used this travel pillow and used about 1/2 of the stuffing!)
- Spray paint (I love this Rustoleum rose gold color. I use it for everything.)
- Staple gun or glue
Start by spraying the legs of your tray.
While your paint is drying, cut out a piece of fabric a little larger than the side of the table. Staple 3 of the four sides. Stuff the stuffing in the open side and spread the filling out evenly.
Staple the last side closed and assemble your tray. Then you’re done! Seriously so easy, but my cats love it. One person asked me how I keep it stable on the carpet and my answer to that is just keep it next to your window or wall. The cat will jump on from the back and it is perfectly stable.
Ooo! I love this and I know my cat would, too! One of the prettiest cat beds I’ve seen!
