Have you ever used resin? I brainstormed and researched to come up with something I could make out of resin. I already made coasters (I loved this so much I might make coasters too because you can’t have too many coasters). Then it came to me that I always need a little catch all tray. So, I put together a little resin tray.
I have learned that even if something isn’t put away, it somehow looks like it has a place if you put it on a tray.
What you need for your resin tray
- Epoxy resin
- Mold
- Pressed flower or foliage
- Bumper pads
- Cabinet pulls
- Super glue
Start by mixing your resin according to the directions. I used a smallish amount first.
Place your pressed flower or foliage on the resin. Let this dry this way for a bit. Maybe two or three hours. This will allow the pressed plant to stay out and not float to the surface of your next layer.
Mix some more resin. I doubled what I had put in first. Pour this in on top of your semi hardened mixture.
Wait for it dry. Then add your bumpers and super glue your cabinet pulls on!
