Happy December! This month’s Ipsy Glam Bag theme is ‘Carpe PM’. I have little to no idea what that means and have no idea how it relates to makeup, but does it really matter?
Ipsy is a subscription box company that delivers a bag with 5 products once a month for $10. I have always felt like I get at least $10 of product out of my bag and have loved trying new products I normally wouldn’t consider. If that’s enough to get you to sign up, click here and do it! If you need more details, read on!
I got this on Christmas Eve (the 24th of the month) which was the latest I had ever received my bag! Usually I get it the first two weeks of the month. I want to give a huge shoutout to Ipsy’s customer service for being so patient and helpful while everyone wondered where their bags were. Follow them on Twitter if you want personal access to a support person!
Each of the headers is a link to the product I received. They’re not showing as links but they are!
Oh. My. Gosh. I was skeptical about this because I don’t like putting oil on my face. I put this on before bed and my skin immediately soaked it up. I put it on in the morning before I put my foundation on and my foundation went on so smooth! I am going to be buying the biggest size of this as soon as my sample is gone. This stuff is amazing.
This is half of the travel size option from tarte. The travel size is $15. The full size is $48! I looked it up on amazon and they have some comparable maracuja oil options you might want to try if this is out of your price range.
I don’t know a lot about brushes but this had very soft bristles and did a good job putting my eyeshadow on so I guess I’m a fan? It’s definitely better than those stupid foam applicators some eyeshadow palates give you. (Do they even do that anymore? I haven’t bought cheap eyeshadow in years.)
This appears to be a set, but I couldn’t find the brush on it’s own. This one looks similar, though they claim it’s a different line of brushes.
This is the second time I have received a product like this in my bag and I am so glad they sent me another. I used every last bit of my last one! This is a lip treatment that makes my lips feel so soft. They say to apply it before lipstick but from my experience it is oily to the point it makes normal longer lasting lipstick come off faster. I just use this when I don’t feel like putting lipstick on. I love it!
I used this as eyeshadow and a highlighter and it gave a very natural dewy look. I really like this!
When I first received this I thought this was just a small sample. I pulled it out of the packaging and it is not as small as I thought it was! In fact when I looked up the actual product in the link above, it said it is 4 grams which is how much this ‘sample’ was also. The packaging is not as pretty, but this is a full size of this product.
This was just ok to me. The color is really pretty! It is sold out on pretty much every website that sells this color. But the recipe was a little gritty to me. I am a huge fan of Kylie Jenner’s matte liquid lipstick and it is about this same price range. If you’re looking for a good liquid lipstick I’d suggest that first.
The size I received is about 1/4 of a full size. The full size is $19.
This Ipsy Glam Bag was pretty fun and I found a couple products I will probably buy again. The bag itself was a lot prettier than others I’ve received. The total value was about $39! Sign up here to get yours next month.
