The Office Party: DIY Clipboard Placeholder

If you are having an Office party you need these simple clipboard placeholders! Put a plain white paper in them and tell your guests exactly what’s up

When I created these Food Themed Memes to explain to people what they were eating at The Office Party I knew I wanted to print them on 8.5″x11″ pieces of white paper. I had no idea how to get them to stand up for people to see; and then it hit me! I could put them on a clipboard placeholder!

These clipboard placeholders are super simple, and that’s kind of the point!

Decide what angle you’d like your clipboards on. For shorter tables you may want them on a deeper angle. We had ours on a bar height counter so I wanted them to stand up pretty straight.

Use your jigsaw to cut the wood the correct length. You will want to make it long enough to hold the clipboard up! I ended up doing this twice because the first time I didn’t glue it close enough to the bottom and the weight of the top wouldn’t allow it to stand up. Just play with it! Buy more wood than you think you will need in case you mess it up. (I’d give you exact measurements but you may want yours on a different angle!)

I used this wood glue to glue it on! This stuff is like magic. I used it for this dowel mirror DIY to suspend the mirror using dowels, so it’s pretty dang strong!

Allow the clipboards to dry for a couple of hours and you’re done! Super simple, but right on theme.
