Easy DIY animal silhouette cupcake toppers for any animal themed birthday party with a free file to use! You could do any shape you wanted too.
For Leo’s jungle themed birthday party, I knew I wanted animal silhouettes somewhere. When we decided on cupcakes over a cake, I knew adding this little touch would be perfect!
I really didn’t want to do glitter cardstock but it’s what I had, and you know what? I actually really like it! I would probably do them all black if I could do it again but I liked them either way!
What you need for your Animal Silhouette cupcake toppers
- Glitter cardstock
- This file
- Mini bamboo skewers
- Glue gun
- Strong grip mat

Open up the file I gave you in design space and cut out the silhouettes. If you are using the glitter cardstock, be sure to change your dial to ‘Custom’ and select ‘Glitter Cardstock’ as the option.
After you have cut your shapes, peel them off of the mat gently. The giraffes especially can rip pretty easily!
Next you will take your glue gun and glue the skewers onto the backs of the cut shapes.
I found it easiest to put a dab of glue directly on the card stock, then put the skewer in the glue and hold it there for about 10 seconds.
