Custom keychains are simple but impactful gifts. Even more so when you can tell the person that you made them yourself. these would also be a perfect summer camp craft idea. Custom Keychains with Wooden Beads supplies:
Cut your leather to the length you prefer. I used 5 beads so mine was decently long.
Create a simple knot of your choice on the keyring. I LOVE these key rings because you don’t have to worry about sliding the knot around to get your keys on it. I like the clasp over the spiral style key chains.
Thread your beads onto the leather. One look you could go for is a knot between each bead. I kind of like them all right next to each other so I threaded them all on at once.
Once you have your desired amount of beads on, tie a knot on the bottom. You want this knot to be pretty robust so the beads don’t slide off so I suggest either doing a double knot between the two strands of leather or tying them together in one chunky knot. That’s what I opted to do so hopefully you can understand what that means by looking at it!
If you’ve been around for a bit you might know how much I LOVE key chains. There’s something about making a custom keychain for a friend that feels both thoughtful and useful. Everyone needs a keychain or two around their house and they can use multiple at once so it all works out. BUT these aren’t tacky, s your friends will definitely like them.
