I recently shared this key chain tutorial that I came up with to give as gifts to my cast mates from a community theater show I was in. Well, I also made this little card to go with it so I wanted to share this as well. It is pretty simple and you’re welcome to customize it however you’d like, but I think it turned out really cute.
What you Need for your ‘Thanks for Being a Key Part’ Printable
- Cricut
- Cricut Fine Point Black Pen
- Gold vinyl (or whatever else. You can also use iron on! I remembered this after I did it. That would have been much easier)
- Transfer tape or painters tape
- Cardstock (I actually used Kraft Board!)
- Washi Tape
- This Cut File

Open your cut file and load the cardstock and your black pen. After it is done writing, it will cut the key out.
Load in your vinyl and let that cut as well. I like placing small pieces of vinyl like this by using painters tape. It helps me control the vinyl easier and lifts easier than transfer tape. With cardstock sometimes you can rip the paper if your transfer tape is super new.
Then I grabbed some washi tape and just taped on my handmade keychain! Isn’t this so simple?! I feel like it would be a great neighbor gift which is why I wanted to share this at this time but you can totally use it for anything. Church friends, sports teammates, coworkers or whatever!
