I am a huge IKEA fan. Something I love about IKEA is how easy it is to personalize and update their furniture to fit your home. I have found a few of my very favorite bar stool updates that you could easily do to any IKEA bar stool!
Ikea Bar Stool Updates
I love the dark wood and gold look so this bar stool DIY was exactly what I needed in my kitchen. It has such a classy look! IKEA also has two different sizes of stools so you could use this tutorial for any counter height.
If you are looking for a bold color, try doing what Amy at Remodelaholic did by pairing this bold color with some metal detailing. I really like the industrial look of the metal detail!
Remodelaholic (can you tell I love that blog?) did another update and used a stencil to add some detail to these boring bar stools. DecoArt has some gorgeous stencils to choose from if you want some ideas, that’s where I’d check first.
I absolutely love what My Melodrama did with her IKEA bar stools. The gold dipped leggings are so smart and so pretty. These look like she paid top dollar but you and I know IKEA is always a good deal. A can of spray paint can really go a long way.
