Make a card for Mother’s Day with these funny and sassy Mother’s Day Quotes that your mom or mom-friend will want to keep forever!
I love making little gifts for people in my life that will put a smile on their face. These are sure to do just that! this was my first attempt at a Xyron project so I wanted to keep it simple while I learned how it worked. The Creative Station Lite is a super handy little tool! I’ll show you all about how I utilized it here.
What You Need for Your Mother’s Day Quote Cards
If you have a Cricut Maker, then I have the file all ready for you to cut here! If you don’t this tutorial will still show you how I assembled the card but you won’t be able to get a cut as intricate as the ones pictured. Follow the instructions on your Maker to cut out each piece of the card. Decide where you’d like all the pieces to go and then pull out your Xyron Creative Station!
Right out of the box, the Creative Station is ready to use. So it’s really very simple. Feed the white part of your card in the machine then turn the nob away from you. You will feel it start to feed if you have it back far enough. Roll it all the way through until the card has come out the other end. It should have a plastic film over the top of it.
For the littler pieces it’s a bit tricky to get the back where they need to go so be careful with such delicate pieces.
Use the paper cutter on the opposite end to cut off the tape. Now you will remove the plastic film over the top of the piece you wanted to be sticky. Then carefully remove the cut from the white backing, and it’s sticky! It’s the best because it’s perfectly even and nothing will get sticky that you don’t want to be sticky.
Gently place each piece where you want it on your card. I laid my cards under a stack of books for a day so they laid pretty flat and had a deep crease. You can also use a brayer to flatten the cardstock.
Here you can see where I placed the little tiny pieces on the inside of the card. I plan to write my little letter to my mom here!
Then you’re all done! I have 4 of these cards for different moms in my life. They were simple to put together and I think they’ll give them a good laugh!
