If you have a maté lover in your life this yerba maté tee shirt idea. There are three tee shirt designs for you to choose from.
Maté is a super popular drink in South America and because a lot of people in Utah serve 2 year missions down there, it’s starting to make it’s way through Utah. My brothers are both REALLY into maté. It’s a social time for them to hang out and drink something they both like while they chat.
I drew my brothers name for Christmas and so I made him these shirts as a little gift. We love puns around our house so this was really fun.
This project, like all my projects, is really easy! All you really need is the right tee shirt and you’ll be good to go.
I got these tee shirts from Forever 21 and my brother loved them. They are really soft and have a really cool cut.
What you need for your DIY Yerba mate tee shirt
Start by cutting your file. Don’t forget to mirror for iron on!
After your vinyl is cut you will weed out the negative space.
Next you will use your EasyPress 2 to iron it on.
After ironing on, you will slowly peel the plastic away from the vinyl. If you see the vinyl lifting as you do this, wait until the plastic has cooled and try again. If it’s still not coming away from the plastic, I suggest reheating it for 30 seconds again and trying again! Another trick I use is pulling the plastic off at an angle to the letters.
Now you’re all done! How fun are these?! I’m seriously in love with this design and the witty puns involved. I always love a good pun.
I made these heart shirts I think you’d also really like. They are kind of for valentine’s day but more like for… antisocial lovers.
I also made this cut sassy pants cut file you may crush on hard.
