I found these mandala buttons on Amazon and just HAD to use them! This months theme for Inspire My Creativity is ‘Buttons’ so it worked out pretty well for me.
This tutorial is pretty dang simple, but I love the way it looks. I also added a little tag to put them on to sell in my Etsy store or at my boutiques. If you don’t want to make one and just want to buy one, then that’s an option too!
What you need for your button bracelet
Loop your 8″ string through the button holes. If you have a button with the hole on the back, this should work ok too, but might stick up and not flush to your wrist.
I tied little knots on each end of the string. This was to help me with the next step, and just generally finishes the look a little bit.
This next step would be REALLY hard to type out, and honestly, I can’t make a better video than this one I found on Youtube!
Now you are all finished! These turned out so cute. I’m loving the simplicity of them but also the added detail of the mandala.
This is part of a super fun link party I participate in and you need to check out everyone else’s take on the button theme below!!
What you need to make your own jewelry
You don’t need much to make your own jewelry and honestly, it will depend on the type of jewelry you want to make. Bracelets like this, the tools you’ll mostly use are tweezers and scissors. If you’re more interested in DIY earrings then you’ll want a findings kit and a set of jewelry tools.
