DIY Night Time Baby Lotion

You will know exactly what’s in your baby’s lotion if you make it yourself! This recipe is only three ingredients and is extremely moisturizing.

My doctor told me to be giving my baby a lavender massage before bed. I was a little skeptical that would help so it took me a while to do it. Once I finally started doing it before bed time, it really started helping signal to him it was time to go to bed. I would just mix lavender oil with my baby lotion but decided to try to make my own so I wouldn’t have to grab two bottles.

There are only three ingredients in this lotion which makes it very simple

Mix 1/2 a cup of Shae Butter with 1/2 a cup of coconut oil. I also added in about 20 drops of coconut oil. It didn’t smell extremely strong the first time I put it in the jar but I decided to leave it be for a minute. The smell kind of got stronger over time!
