These are gift tags for any occasion, whether you’re putting something under your Christmas tree for yourself of just getting a lame gift for a friend!
I wanted to try out my Glaminator again but this time make some fun snarky Christmas tags with it! This will also show you how to gold foil something that you cut out with a cutting machine.
Materials for Gift Tags
Before you gold foil your paper you need to use your cutting machine to cut your file. In order to gold foil your tags you need it printed on a laser printer. For this reason you might need to send it to a print shop. I only have an ink jet printer so I send mine to a local printer! The best color you can get from the Glaminator is from a smaller laser printer so I like to use a local print shop over Staples or FedEx.
After your file is cut you’re going to put them in the little folder that comes with your Glaminator.
You can overlap the tags. As long as your black print is touching the foil it will be fine! The Glaminator does not laminate the tags just foils them.
Once the foil is cooled you will slowly remove it from the tags.
And then you get to decorate your gift! I used these on gift bags for the photo but am going to save a bunch for Christmas gifts!!
If you don’t have a cutting machine you’re welcome to make your own file and cut them out! Just open up the cut file linked above and make your own file.
My last go around with the Glaminator can be found here where I show you how to gold foil anything. It has a lot of details in it I may have grazed over here so be sure to go check it out!
