I rounded up some easy DIY Halloween ideas for you here. From easy costumes to easy decor, DIY your Halloween this year!
I use a lot of Cricut DIYs here at Practical and Pretty. Peruse away if you are a Cricut love too!
Halloween is one of my favorite DIY holidays. One of my favorite things to do is make costumes and home decor that can be used for multiple things (practical AND pretty!)
The things you will find on this list are simple DIYs that aren’t kitschy or tacky.
Forest Fairy Costume
This costume was made specifically for a photoshoot but it turned out to be so comfy and flattering. I actually used it for something called The Dicken’s Festival where everyone dresses up like someone from Charle’s Dicken’s era. All of this to say, this forest fairy costume can have lots of different uses.
Forest Crown
I used this with the forest fairy costume but it could be used for all types of things. This method of creating a crown can be used for any sort of style. Whether you want it floral, cutesie, or witchy you can adapt it to that specific costume.
DIY Miguel Coco Costume with Your Cricut
This costume was extremely simple. It turned out super cute and my son could wear the ‘costume’ as a sweater until he grew out of it.
Easy DIY Halloween Dollar Store Decorative Lanterns
The dollar store is one of my favorite places to peruse for simple DIYs. These lanterns turned out very cute. My kids actually still play with them every year. It’s a simple way to bring a little light to your decor too which adds a lot more than you think it would!
Hocus Pocus Shirts
You can’t have Halloween without the Sanderson Sisters. These cut files are the perfect design for shirts but you could also use them to make decor or whatever else you’d like. I had a lot of fun creating these!
Coco Guitar
This dollar store DIY is more intermediate than beginner but it turned out so perfect! I used a dollar store ukulele, spray paint, and vinyl. The weeding and placement of the vinyl were a little tricky but nothing too complicated!
Watercolor Spider Web
I found this free printable from Sustain My Craft Habit and thought it was so classy and cool! This is cool enough to have in your house all year round in my opinion. SO cool.
Halloween Mummy Wreath
My friends at Pretty Providence created the coolest mummy wreath. Such a simple idea but it’s really cute and would match anyone’s front door.
My friend Pam at Over the Big Moon created free printables for a Harry Potter movie night but they would be a perfect Halloween party idea too!
