3 Easy Halloween Tie Dye Projects

If you love crafting for Halloween, these simple tie dye projects are the perfect way to add some spooky color to your home. Each fold gives you a totally different look — from classic pumpkin orange to deep gray and bright neon green. You can use these techniques on towels, T-shirts, or pillow covers!

1. Jack-O’-Lantern Tie Dye

This jack-o’-lantern tie dye project uses sinew to outline the eyes, nose, and grin so you get clean white lines on your pumpkin face. I used Soft Orange and Power Berry dyes for a fun twist on the traditional Halloween look. It’s a quick project that’s great for kids or beginners.

2. 3-Color Spiral Halloween Tie Dye

This Halloween spiral tie dye is made with Lime Pop, Power Berry, and Thundercloud dyes — neon green, deep purple, and smoky gray. Together, they create a bold swirl that feels perfectly Halloween without being over the top. You can do it on a towel, tee, or even pillow covers for festive home decor.

3. Ghost Towel Tie Dye

The ghost towel tie dye is one of my favorites because it’s so simple — you only need one color! Sinew and plastic wrap help protect the ghost shape so it stays bright white while the rest of the towel turns dark gray or purple. It’s an easy way to make something festive for your bathroom or kitchen this Halloween.
