Avocados make the perfect blush pink and it adds such a pretty soft touch to your Christmas tree! Check out this easy way to use ribbons for ornaments.
Two years ago, I would have died if you told me I would put pink on my Christmas tree. Now, I am madly in love with the perfect avocado dyed blush pink color! #changedwoman? When I dye my towels they come in packs of four tied with a ribbon. I have been saving them and wasn’t quite sure why. Turns out I was saving them to decorate my Christmas tree!
I love these glass ornaments. I think they are so pretty plain, however they are just begging to be filled with beautiful things so that’s what I did.
What you need for your ribbon ornaments
- White ribbon
- 5 avocado pits or 3 pits and skins
- Clear ornaments

Dyeing with avocados is so simple. Fill a large pot of water and put in your avocado pits.
Heat on high until the water is boiling.
Bring the heat down to medium or medium low so that the water is just simmering. Add your ribbon so it is in the dye as it simmers.
Let this simmer for about 1 hour.
Once you are done, empty the pot of water and rinse your ribbons in cool water until it runs clear.
Now just put your ribbons in your ornaments!
You will put your little cap back on and you are all done. These are my favorite ornament hooks. I have tried the cheaper ones but these ones just turn out to be worth it for me!
These added such a pretty dash of color to my tree and were so super simple.
