When you tour the Parade of Homes or any home show, you can find inspiration everywhere! Here are some of the coolest tile looks I found.
When I went to the parade I wasn’t necessarily planning on being inspired by tile but, wow! They really hit it out of the park with the tile looks this year. There is an obvious theme you will see of black and white. Contrasting grout is always a fun idea to add a little texture to the look of a flat glossy tile. A little disclaimer that most of these photos were taken in bathrooms with little natural light, so I apologize for the lighting in advance!
Ok first of all, how amazing is this mix of tiles? I love the way these go together. I don’t think I would have done this for the fear it would have been too busy. But seeing it together really makes me love it. I quite like the vertical black tiles too! These are usually laid horizontal but I love this.
The tiling around this fireplace is gorgeous. It looked almost marble. The shape of the tiles was unique too which was so fun.
Square subway tiles look so homey to me. I love the black grout with the white tile too. My only fear with this is it’s very obvious if you lay it wrong! (We may or may not have laid white subway tile with charcoal grout… it’s a touchy subject right now.)
This penny tile was so amazing! It literally looked like pennies the way it shined and I really liked it. It was in a room that didn’t have much else going on which I think was the right choice.
Everything about this bathroom situation had my swooning. The gold fixtures? Yes please. The black subway tile is gorgeous and glossy. I like the white grout but thinking about how cool black grout would look got me excited to!
Here is another look at black subway tile with white grout!
We will end it with… even more subway tile! But I love the way this was laid in a unique and different way. The circular mirror looked so fun next to pattern as well.
